Before moving to the United States, Yana worked as a flight attendant, spending much of her life in the skies while connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds around the world. After arriving in America, she embraced a new chapter of life as a mother, dedicating several years to raising her son and building a future for her family.
Like many immigrants starting over in a new country, Yana faced uncertainty and challenges — adapting to a different culture, building a new professional path, and navigating life without established connections or perfect English. During that period, she asked herself an important question: what comes next? Once again, life led her back to the sky — this time through service in the U.S. Air Force.
Seeking stability, purpose, professional growth, and the opportunity to create a better future for her family, Yana joined the Air Force and trained as a medic. Through her service, she developed leadership skills, received world-class training, and discovered a strong sense of purpose in caring for others. Her first assignment brought her to Germany, where she proudly supports service members and their families every day.
Today, Yana is passionate about helping others who are considering military service in the United States. Through American Dream Force, she hopes to share her real-life experiences, offer guidance and encouragement, and help future immigrants and service members make informed and confident decisions about their future and their own American dream.
