His Story
Mazlum Dogan is originally a Kurd from Turkey and proudly serves in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman (11B), as well as a dedicated member of American Dream Force.
He immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and spent many years pursuing his dream of becoming a permanent resident. After finally receiving his Green Card, he chose to give back to the country that provided him with new opportunities by enlisting in the U.S. Army. Motivated by a passion for military service, discipline, physical challenges, and personal growth, he selected the Infantry career field and committed himself to serving with honor and dedication.
Like many immigrants, adapting to a new country came with challenges, including adjusting to a different culture, language, and way of life. These experiences strengthened his resilience, shaped his character, and reinforced his determination to succeed despite obstacles.
Through military service, he has developed leadership, discipline, teamwork, and a strong sense of purpose. His journey reflects the values of perseverance, loyalty, and commitment, demonstrating how hard work and dedication can transform challenges into opportunities.
As a member of American Dream Force, he hopes to inspire and support immigrants who are considering military service as a pathway to personal growth, service, and opportunity. By sharing his experiences, he aims to encourage others to pursue their goals with confidence and determination while building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
